For three years — 2001, 2004, 2005 — Choice Communication organized and managed the popular Chinese New Year celebrations at International Village in Vancouver. That includes media and public relations, sales and marketing for exhibition booths, and sponsorship programs.
The communities of Chinese, South Asian, Thai, Korean, Japanese, German (just to name a few) gathered at International Village where they were treated to multicultural main stage performances, authentic cooking at the Asian Food Pavilion, arts and craft at the Cultural Village and 120 booths, among other highlights at the events.
The events fulfilled on-site publicity, brand awareness, marketing role and direct sales/contact functions. It also generated many solid sales leads for business. In general, mainstream companies that wish to tap into the Chinese-speaking market were very happy with the turn out and the spending power.
Chinese companies that wish to reach the bigger mainstream market were able to do so at relatively cheaper prices compared to what they would have to spend on their own.
