Lansdowne Centre Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncake Baking Class
Lansdowne Centre hosts an online mooncake baking class on Saturday, September 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Viewers can get their ingredients ready beforehand to learn how to make this traditional Chinese delicacy from a local expert, and bake along at the same time. Twelve participants get exclusive access to the interactive baking class on Zoom with provided ingredients. It has always been the tradition for Lansdowne Centre to celebrate festivities with the Chinese community. Due to the pandemic, Lansdowne decides to celebrate this important festival in a whole new way with the help of technology. Anyone can gain free access to the baking class and bake along live by prepping with the right ingredients and supplies. Views can bake along at the same time via Facebook and YouTube Live. The event is archived here for future viewing. Participants are guided by Chef Denice Wai, founder of the 6 Senses Cooking Studio. Twelve participants who won a contest to get exclusive access to the interactive baking class, are provided with the ingredients beforehand, and they can interact with Chef Wai while they bake with her live virtually. |
